← Here is a quick sketch with a twig, indian ink and w/c. I have just returned from a week painting in and around Dolgellau with friends. I did this in the rain, of a waterfall but only had about 10 -15 minutes before being rained off. Despite very cold and wet weather, I managed 9 oils and six sketches. Here is the ink and watercolour sketch mentioned in my last post. It’s the view from Rodborough hill. I will attempt to paint this again in oils, from memory rather than copying. →

Lovely sketch Julian, you’ve caught the repeated folding shapes of the fields very well – good use of perspective too
