About The Course

ABOUT THE COURSE

Join Mark Dunford for 3 months of online mentoring and feedback sessions with ongoing support through a private online group. This mentoring provides three months of in-depth and personalised support, guidance and encouragement, providing a framework to progress your practice by presenting and discussing your work in a supportive and constructive atmosphere with fellow artists.  Advice and guidance will be tailored to each artist’s needs. Mentoring will be capped at 6 participants so that each artist will receive a generous amount of time to present their work. A group Zoom session will be facilitated by Mark each month giving an opportunity for personalised advice from Mark. Participants may present 3 or 4 paintings each time, plus some supporting work such as drawings or sketchbooks.  Encouragement and advice will be given for work to be done during the month between the sessions, and a private online group will provide space for an informal exchange and discussion of ideas, questions and issues.  This space will mainly be for students to share work with Mark participating from time to time. Being part of a small group of fellow artists provides a valuable sense of community and a source of constructive critique over an extended period of time, which can really help you take your work to the next level. This three months of mentoring aims to build confidence in the individual and support the development and progress of their artistic goals. A balanced emphasis will be placed upon development of practical skills alongside the enhancement of imaginative and creative frameworks. The programme is open to artists at any stage in their career. Zoom sessions: - Thursday 7th November 2024 (3 hours) - Thursday 12th December 2024 (3 hours) - Thursday 9th January 2025 (3 hours) You will also receive access to a group chat and gallery via our online platform.
