← The abandoned farmsteads in parts of Wales make ideal subjects with their crumbling walls ans collapsing rooves. Unfortunately the oil painting that I produced from this sketch was close to a disaster. A new approach will be required. It is really a matter of confidence and i find that with pencil and pen in my hand I have compete confidence but this is not the case when I turn to painting…..yet! Far too cold for me to sit out and draw/paint so I sat in the car and sketched reflections behind and the winter field ahead. Bit of pencil, ink and watercolour in a small sketchbook. →

A really nice range of marks Jeremy and you’ve used a limited palette of warm and cold colours very effectively
