Thanks Louise, yes it is… Heated rabbitskin glue pellets into a gesso base with genuine White lead (Cremintz) that I was able to acquire for restoration work. Part of a feature that I wrote for The Artist magazine a while back, Learning from Seago…
A very nice group of paintings Alan, I like the way you’re picking up the individual characteristics of each artist. Is the rabbit skin glue part of a real gesso ground?
