← My interpretation of Turner’s Santa Maria de la Salute and the Dogana, Venice with rockets. I made this with inktense blocks, but i’ll try it in watercolour next. Pencil drawing after Eric Ravilious watercolour – Wet Afternoon. It made me notice that there is not much tonal variation in this picture – I find all his work looks quite ‘Flat’ – but I do love them! →

Lovely Richard – Hitchens is one of my favourite artists, a fantastic colourist too
