Oh, good. I’ll see if I can get a copy or have the library order it.
Many thanks for your feedback Rachel, it’s always welcome. I can recommend the book on Hitchens by Peter Khoroche – good illustrations and interpretations of his work.
i love these colors-especially that yellow! and the brushwork is great: and thanks for the Ivon Hitchens reminder-I had looked him when I first started this course, and just revisited some of his work (on-line). Must have been great to see it up close.
Many thanks for your comments Christopher. It’s so helpful to get feedback.
I’m really drawn to the earthy yellows on your painting. Quite an interest in contrast appears to have emerged between the dry and wet sand. It seems to arrest attention in a pleasing way
Thanks Louise. I’m trying to take lessons from the brushwork of Ivon Hitchens at present and recently saw several of his landscapes up close in galleries. Oh, to be as decisive as he was. I’m amazed he could do all that en plein air.
Hi Mike, good to see you (virtually at least!) Good to see these two new images. I particularly like the brushwork in this one – very energetic and decisive
