← Just returned from a wet and windy week painting in Snowdonia with 60 fellow artists. Here is my rendition of the fast flowing river at Betwys Y Coed, started in the rain, but warmed up later. Again energy and rapid movement is what I tried to portray. Loved the Rhodedendrons on the far bank. Size 12” x 10” 2 hours approx. In the spirit of curiosity & exploration as to how artists make paintings, I had a go at ‘painting like Judy Buxton’. Great fun using so much paint (please don’t let my husband know how much paint I used) & a palette knife. I have no idea how much of this I’ll borrow to add to my own paintings, but I really enjoyed the wander. →

I really like the texture of this painting, the smooth with the rocky…and you’ve captured a lovely light & glow. I must have a try with ali panels, they look like good fun
