Love the idea of a wall of green Christopher and you’ve captured it very well with green tones throughout the painting. It would actually benefit from a slightly lower horizon I feel, there’s so much interest and lovely fresh mark-making in the trees and sky
Tonally, I found this picture a little challenging with many different shades of green – including a blue(-ish) ornamental cedar which seemed to vanish into the paper. I’m needing to learn how to separate adjacent strokes of colour tonally I feel . Intrigued by your comment about the lower horizon, so I will muse about that in the coming days.. Hope you are having a restful and recuperative Holiday!
