I’m sharing a watercolour he made in 1805 which I used as a reference to try and learn from his brushstrokes and mark making. Version 1 is when I was looking at the reference. Version 2, was when I worked on the painting further, just going in the right brain. →

It is extraordinary and apparently there is a ‘desired’ viewing distance and position for the space to work.
