Like others – a little bit out of synch this Spring, but I felt I had captured a seasonal flavour reflected in the sky. I was hoping to complete the field with a transparent layer of burnt umber done briskly. With a Spring in its step !

Your commentThank you for your comment – much appreciated! I will try introducing somewhat more muted colours as you suggest to help pull things together.

This has a lovely fresh feeling Christopher and I like the energy in the brushstrokes. On your next painting you might want to consider putting a bit of the sky colours in the land, and the warmer land colours in the sky – it can be very subtle, just a small amount and quite dulled-down in colour, but it really helps to pull a painting together.
