Oil pastel on gessoed paper Louise Balaam - Monthly Landscape Painting Oil pastel on gessoed paper Skills Posted on April 13, 2024 ← Hi Louise, Really loved your episode on Joan Eardley, possibly my favourite artist. Was on the beach doing some sketches, albeit without the storms. Trying to not look but feel. Maureen A Joan Eardley inspired sketch of my view from the kitchen garden…where I sketch a lot. This time using neopastel ll water soluble pastels, wet brush followed by dry pastel for detail. As much as I love the Sennelier pastels the thought of having to carry fixative everywhere was a bit depressing!! The neopastel was lovely to use. And I love Joan Eardley. →
