← Oil painting, painted from my sketch off the sea using big brushes and heaps of paint and worked quickly . It was exhilarating and exhausting using the right brain at one stage . Thank you Louise for sharing this method of applying paint I am grateful to you. Here is a quick sketch with a twig, indian ink and w/c. I have just returned from a week painting in and around Dolgellau with friends. I did this in the rain, of a waterfall but only had about 10 -15 minutes before being rained off. Despite very cold and wet weather, I managed 9 oils and six sketches. →

This has a very nice feeling Ann – I like the way you’ve created a lot of visual interest in the foreground whilst also preserving the sense of space
