I’ve used Wallace Seymour oil paints, on board, thinned with a 50/50 mix of linseed oil and Shellsol T. Esherness is on the West Coast of the Shetland Mainland. This is a large canvas painted with acrylic. A gale was blowing when I was there so a quick sketch was made and the picture was then made in my studio. This type of subject makes for great fun when paintong as there is a mass of movement to portray. →
