A3 oil on paper. I brushed on the first stage and then used a knife to add the thicker top using a 50/50 Linseed/Zest it. Because the paint is difficult to control there is mixing going on the surface but it has lead to a more fluid/active image, I think?

Absolutely Jeremy – I think personally that some unforeseen or accidental areas of the mark-making really add to the dynamism of the image, and the complexity of the mark-making. It’s up to the artist to decide which accidents to keep! I really like the lively surface of this painting, well done!

Great textures here Jeremy – how interesting with the mixing on the surface. Thank you for sharing πŸ™‚
