Thanks everyone for helpful feedback. This was my third session on this painting. First there was lots of sky then no sky and finally some sky! I didn’t want to get fussy with it so decided to stop
I’m enjoying the lovely foreground reflections and the delicate details and colours in the river bank. I find this lyrical and evocative. The rhythm of darks and lights in the trees is very effective as well. I wonder how much sky is really needed.

It’s absolutely lovely. I feel the light and the warmth of spring in the colours. And it’s interesting seeing it side-by-side with your sketch. Really see the relationship between them.
