← As promised, here are some preliminary sketches made in the New Forest last year. They were all made outdoors in the forest, often quite quickly. Then I returned to the studio in the afternoons and worked up some small oil sketches. I think this collage gives a flavour of my activity. Thank you for your feedback. Oil painting on panel very limited palette the weather here at the moment is drizzle and mist very little colour, interesting to work with. →
