Sketch Atlantic ocean last week’s storm Louise Balaam - Monthly Landscape Painting Sketch Atlantic ocean last week's storm Skills Posted on December 2, 2024 ← Diptych- (2) 6″x6″ oil | wood panels- I composed this image using still footage ( “Beaches” movie) of Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey, dropping them into the Crystal Cove background of the scene’s location. Essentially the color is somewhat made up. Wish to get feedback on the color. I prefer the muted whites on Barbara Hershey’s (left) hat/blanket suggesting more of an overcast day- On the other hand, when I stepped back, the whites of Bette Midler’s turban and robe are too bright, as well as the sand (mid ground) and reds in the foreground seem too saturated.
