Today’s sketch on a rainy windswept morning, is an imaginary rocky coastline in inks.
First I drew some thick brown ink marks, almost blotted on in an abstract manner. When dry, I looked at the marks and with a thinner ink pen, I imagined a rocky coastline and distant sea, and explored cross hatching, almost like Eric Ravillious.

Thank you Louise
Very nice Julian, I really like the way you’ve used a range of marks – ink is unforgiving but a wonderful medium to work in!
