Charcoal drawing in Snowdonia Landscapes with Julian Le Bas Charcoal drawing in Snowdonia Skills Posted on February 26, 2025 ← Here’s a loose watercolour and gouache painting I made after visiting Malta for a few days. I made a sketch of this scene when I was there, and also took lots of photographs for reference. But I was trying not to look at them when I did this. All feedback welcome This is the last painting I did – it’s quite recent, a remembering of the summer. It’s 60x 80 in oil mostly splurged on with a palette knife ( ok, so added, scraped off, added again, until I got fed up with it).
